 Comprehensive inspections of managed dams

Comprehensive inspections of managed dams include “inspections of facilities” focused on the safety of existing dams and“ inspections of functions” to evaluate the suitability of flood discharge regulation functions, etc., in order to“ maintain functions and guarantee safety,” and propose rational maintenance plans and repair and renewal plans.

The Japan Dam Engineering Center makes evaluations based on the results of daily inspections and emergency inspections, and constructs a database that is necessary for periodical inspections to assist the safety management of dams.
