The Japan Dam Engineering Center publishes books to spread awareness of the results and the knowledge acquired from research on dams. The JDEC journal, “Engineering for Dams” which provides specialized information to dam engineers, is a monthly publication containing information on improvements to dam technologies.

dispatches engineers to provide international technical cooperation (through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)), accepts trainees from foreign countries, and collects and introduces information about overseas technologies.
